Lugaru review7/26/2023 ![]() ![]() Obviously you can create a well-done revenge story, but if you have no idea how to make one, practically do not do it if you want to avoid the risk that someone will use the story as an excuse to put a negative review or not buy it outright.Ībout the potential, you already said it for me.Īdding that in the map editor there are too many weapons that are not in the campaign.Īlso, the game is left to the modders' hands, and it's sad because they seem to have worked better on new weapons than the original developers.Īn idea that they would have made in the campaign to expand it and if they use the races, it would be: He's just like: "Oh, they killed my family, I'll get revenge." Practically the whole campaign is a total excuse to kill.Īt the end of the Lugaru campaign I found it disgusting that Turner kills the wolf pups in cold blood and then he proceeds to taunt the Alpha Wolf. The character does not show any emotions, mental problems or trauma when all his family and friends are murdered. The campaign is totally a disappointment just like you said. I fully agree with everything you wrote, even your personal opinion. You can play as rats, cats, dogs and wolves and yet the only character we control in the entire campaign is the rabbit on his one dimensional story path. ![]() There is so much potential in the setting that is just completely unused. IMO they shouldn't have even done a story if all they were going to do was this again, since they already did it with lugaru. Pretty much.he's a flawless mary sue with no personality who's family was killed for the purpose of an extremely straightforward revenge plot. The innovative thing about Overgrowth was mainly the blood system that is not normally seen in fighting and fencing games, it is also well designed for the game itself. His ego is bigger than his abilities which makes me a little frustrating to read (You know, there's no voice acting or anything). The story in both versions, Turner is a character with a lazy personality, at the beginning he just wanted revenge and then at the end he says that revenge is bad. Obviously it is the gameplay, but at the moment it seems outdated. Originally posted by ᠌ Andrex:Actually, I think both stories (Lugaru and Overgrowth) are not their strongest point. ![]()
